Download & Setup

Overview
Section titled “Overview”The ARCH.id.S suite utilizes a unified, central setup. Instead of tracking dozens of separate add-in files, a single desktop control panel handles your entire design toolkit from one interface.
Once you install the ARCH.id.S Platform Hub, you can instantly launch your Core Add-ins Suite (like Smart Array and Finish Pattern Set-Out) or access your authorized Premium Overlays (like Vellum and Mylar) without ever dealing with loose files, manual folder configurations, or missing icons.
1. Download & Installation
Section titled “1. Download & Installation”To install or update your ARCH.id.S tools on your computer:
- Close Revit: Ensure all active sessions of Autodesk Revit are completely closed before starting the installation.
- Access the Download Page: Go to the central Downloads Page on our website.
- Download the Installer: Sign in with your account to download the latest
ARCHids_Unified_Hub_Installer.exefile. - Run the Setup: Double-click the downloaded
.exefile and follow the clear Windows prompts to install the desktop Hub application. - Launch the Platform Hub: Open the newly installed desktop app and sign in using your email credentials.

- Sync Your Tools: Click Sync Ecosystem inside the Hub interface. The app manager will automatically scan your computer for compatible Revit versions (2025+) and safely place the tools directly onto your Revit ribbon menu.
Installation Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Section titled “Installation Maintenance & Troubleshooting”Your workflow requirements might change depending on your current project phase, or you might need to troubleshoot an issue. If you ever want to adjust which specific plug-ins show up on your Revit ribbon, or repair an existing installation, you do not need to hunt down multiple installers.
Instead, go to your standard Windows Settings, navigate to Apps > Installed Apps (or Programs and Features in the classic Control Panel), and look for the ARCH.id.S Platform Hub in your software list. Clicking on the listing will give you both Modify and Uninstall choices.
Selecting Modify (or running the original installer again) opens our unified bootstrapper menu, which provides three maintenance options:
- Modify: Opens the configuration menu where you can selectively add or remove individual tools from your active workspace, keeping your Revit interface custom-tailored to your immediate drafting needs.
- Repair: Automatically scans your installed tools, validates the registry and files, and fixes any corrupted or missing components without losing your settings.
- Uninstall: Safely and cleanly removes all components and registry entries from your system in one click.

2. Access Tiers & Activation
Section titled “2. Access Tiers & Activation”We believe in a completely seamless workflow. To keep things simple, the desktop Platform Hub is used strictly for downloading and installing the software—it checks that you have a valid account and handles the setup, but it plays no part in managing your licenses.
Licensing and entitlements are entirely checked and managed inside Revit via the License Manager Dashboard and a powerful Silent Background Sync.
The Seamless Authentication Workflow
Section titled “The Seamless Authentication Workflow”- Silent Background Authentication: When you launch Revit, the ARCH.id.S core engine securely boots in the background. If you have previously logged in, it will silently decode your encrypted local session tokens and verify your Premium Overlays with our servers without ever interrupting your workflow.
- First-Time Login / Expirations: If you have never logged in, or if your session has completely expired, you do not need to proactively check your status. You can simply go about your day and try to use any of the tools on the ribbon.
- Gentle Verification Prompts: If a tool detects that you lack an active session or a valid license for that specific action, it will not aggressively block your Revit window with massive dashboard popups. Instead, a clean, centralized dialog box will politely notify you of the requirement, directing you to click the Account button on the ARCH.id.S ribbon tab to manage your access.
Once you are signed in through the License Manager via the Account button, both your Core Add-ins Suite and your paid Premium Overlays (Vellum and Mylar) are automatically authenticated and immediately ready for your design session.

3. Seat & Workspace Management
Section titled “3. Seat & Workspace Management”Because premium tools use shared seats, releasing access is a simple, automatic process when shifting work environments (e.g., leaving your office desktop to work on a portable studio laptop).
Swapping Active Seats
Section titled “Swapping Active Seats”When you close Revit or sign out of your profile inside the desktop app, your shared seat automatically unlocks and drops back into your pool. It is immediately available for another teammate or your alternative machine to pick up.
Offline Design & Grace Periods
Section titled “Offline Design & Grace Periods”Whether you are traveling for a site visit, working from a client’s office, or dealing with an unexpected network dropout, ARCH.id.S tools are built to keep your workflow moving uninterrupted.
- First-Time Setup: Your very first launch of the tools requires an active internet connection so the License Manager can securely verify your account and activate your design session.
- Offline Access: Once your account is verified, you can continue using both your free and premium suites completely offline. The system automatically grants a temporary grace period, letting you design, document, and schedule without needing a constant web connection. The tools will seamlessly sync back up with your account the next time you are online.
Remote Disconnections (Individual Users)
Section titled “Remote Disconnections (Individual Users)”If you accidentally left a premium seat active on a computer at the office and need to work from home, you can manage your workstations remotely from any web browser:
- Log into your Online Dashboard Account.
- Review your active Subscription Tier overview panel.
- Expand your list of Currently Checked-In Workstations.
- Locate the desktop environment you want to clear and click Disconnect Workstation to safely free up that seat for immediate use.

The BIM Manager’s Console (Firm Administrators)
Section titled “The BIM Manager’s Console (Firm Administrators)”For corporate accounts, firm leadership and designated managers are granted birds-eye visibility over the company’s entire software allocation pool.
If your account profile belongs to an authorized enterprise studio domain, an automated BIM Manager administration tab will unlock inside your online dashboard sidebar.

From this dedicated management workspace, you can easily orchestrate license pools without tracking physical paperwork or internal hardware keys:
- Enterprise Utilization: Review your current subscription levels to see exactly how many floating seats are currently checked out vs. your total company allowance (e.g., 7 / 15 seats active).
- Active Machine Registry: View a live log of every active Revit session within your studio. The console displays the user’s full name, corporate email address, specific computer ID, and the exact time they initialized their design window.
- Force-Releasing Shared Seats: If a workstation is holding onto a seat while inactive, managers can click Revoke Seat directly from the live list. This safely clears the distant connection token and returns the floating seat back to your firm’s available pool instantly.
